I got OpenGL 3.3 according to this program:

    http://www.geeks3d.com/20141110/gpu-caps-viewer-1-22-0-released/

Seems like I can also demo other OpenGL versions to see how it works? Not sure, but am gonna fiddle around with it.

The demos for other OpenGL require certain cards. I can run all except the highest one, which is 4.0. Though the demos only have 3.X requirements or lower for the other ones. For the 4.X I’d need a Radeon 5000+

    Hmm…

I’m not sure about other games with modern OpenGL. Most of the time I played indie games. I’d have to look if there is a game with a modern OpenGL mode. Do you know one? Doesn’t really matter what game, just to test.

I will try and look around for a driver for my card with OpenGL. The card that I got is a
ATI Radeon HD 4670. I’m also using an iMac with Bootcamp (Windows 7). But all those details are in another post of mine.

I will check if I find something, but I’m no expert when it comes to drivers and all those technical things related to them. I generally go to the manufacturer webpages and use the auto driver search to update my drivers every time I think I need to. Will see what I find on Google.

btw, what version of OpenGL should I be looking for?

Ahhhhhhh! I just found out something. You CAN’T drag the armor into the window to get it repaired. But by pressing Q it works. Either that or the bug was fixed without me knowing. Before I was always dragging the armor into the box. It works with weapons.

I read in the update that you can repair at all crafting stations (except the bow and shield station) equipment, regardless if it’s a weapon or an armor. At least that’s how I understood it and that’s what I tested with the weapon by repairing it at an armor station. But… I still can’t repair armor, neither at the armor station nor the weapon station.

(Not sure if it should have been fixed or not with that update, nor if I’m the only one having that problem. And it wasn’t listed in the fixed bugs section either. Just making sure to report this and let you guys know.)

Since I can’t upgrade my AMD thingy (More of that in the Player Forums), I checked out the different options (Lighting, Clouds, Fog). And what I’ve seen is that Lighting causes all of the problems. If I got Lighting checked and have a light emitting source within screen sight, things will get messed up. But once there is no light emitting source (streetlamp, fire camp, etc.) within screen sight, there is no problem at all. I can have a normal day and night cycle that way. With Clouds checked, they only cause a problem during the day. I don’t know if they emit light or what. But over night clouds aren’t a problem, probably because I can’t see them. lol I don’t know about fog, don’t know where to encounter that.

Point is, if there’s a way or an option to separate light emitting objects from day and night cycle, or even totally turn off light emitting from objects, it would give other ppl and me with this problem still day and night cycle.

But I don’t know how much work that would be. It’s just an idea or observation that I made. I can still just go without those options without a problem.

Thank you, I like the function a lot. Just how I imagined it to be. 😛

-Like that the server saves are so smooth.

That’s what I guessed. Shields really are very good. And being able to add modifier to them would be over powered, making them too strong. Right now I even wonder about the higher tiered shields and how good they’d be compared to the ones there are now.

Helmets do seem a bit bland. I’m sure in the future they would have more stats like magical resistance and such, IF there will be magic classes.

And ammo was just a random thing, since in the skill tree it said adding modifiers to craftables. And ammo is a craftable. 😛

Killed enemies before restarting the client, had lag on kill. I didn’t see this post before closing the client, so I can’t tell if it’s with or without drops. I think even when an enemy doesn’t drop stuff on kill, it still lags. But after completely closing the client and opening up again, the lag was gone and everything was good. At least for me. So a relog fixes that so it seems.

07:07 server time, so laggy when killing and being put under a spell that I can’t play anymore. The things I did was going to goblin mountain till either inventory was full or weapon was not good enough. Then repair weapon and craft materials. When inventory was too full from blueprints and other drops, I went to my house to clean up. Rinse and repeat. The more I did that, the more laggy it became to the point where I can’t fight without dieing anymore or using a lot of food.

nvm, the lag is back. I spoke too soon. 😛 Same thing that zero said. When killing mobs or being stunned with that spell. Specially when 3 or more of those mobs use that spell at the same time on you. lol

I used to have that as well, specially with more ppl around and actually standing within sight. Then the lag is really killer. But for some reason, I haven’t encountered this anymore. Even with ppl around. But yes, the stun spells do cause a bit of lag. Mainly when running and then getting stunned, while still running. Once the spell time is over there generally is a small jump with the char. And there also was lag when killing a mob, specially mini bosses or multiple groups. But I don’t have that problem anymore.

As far as I know, there is a limit to how many chase you. But not sure, since the only place to test that out is the goblin mountain. And there I am normally followed by 5 or so (never really counted). But once I hit or attack the ones chasing after me, the others also chase. But it seems like the green goblins are the more aggressive ones with a longer range? The brown/yellow ones seem more localized and run off a lot. But there also is that structure in the middle that kinda halves the mountain a bit.

There might be another AMD related graphic bug. With displaying the low durability of equipment. Only once I got to see the symbol of low armor durability, but that vanished after going through the teleporter of the playne. I never saw an indication for a low durability weapon, even though my weapons were low on durability many times.
